Festive Christmas tree with Callas Crunchy Chocolate Nut Cream
Ingredients
2 sheets of pizza puff pastry
Callas Crunchy Chocolate Nut Cream
Whisked egg
Powdered suger
Preparation
Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the puff pastry packaging.
Unroll the first sheet of puff pastry onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and spread it with a thin layer of Callas Crunchy Chocolate Nut Cream.
Then, unroll the second sheet of puff pastry over it and press it down slightly.
Using a sharp knife, cut a triangle shape from the puff pastry, and them make cuts everery few centimeters towards the center. Do this on both the left and right sides. Leave at least 4/5 cm in the middle for the trunk.
Next, twist all the individual strips an lay them back down on the baking sheet.
Optionally, use the remaining unused puff pastry to cut out start to decorate the Christmas tree.
Brush te top of the puff pastry with the beaten egg to create a beautiful golden brown crust.
Bake the Christmas tree according to the puff pastry packaging instructions.
Decorate the Christmas tree with some sifted powdered sugar.
