Healthy snack: Granola jam bars

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 100g unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 egg
  •  1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 170g Callas Pure Raspberry Light Jam
  • 210g granola

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a square baking pan with foil and butter it.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar and salt. Then add the butter, one egg yolk and vanilla and mix until it begins to form a dough. This one may be crumbly, but this is not a problem. Do not mix too long to avoid a tough bottom.
3. Transfer the mixture to the baking form and pat on the bottom.
4. Then bake for 25-30 minutes until it is golden brown.
5. Afterwards, gently spread the Callas Pure Raspberry Light Jam over the bottom.
6. In another bowl, mix the granola and egg white well together and then spread evenly over the jam layer.
7. Afterwards, bake in the oven for another 20 minutes.
8. Let cool completely on a wire rack.
